Many families worry that reaching out to hospice means giving up or acting too soon. It doesn’t.
Hospice is about focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life rather than curative treatment. It’s a compassionate choice centered on what matters most.
You may want to connect with our team if your loved one has had frequent hospital visits, is experiencing unmanaged pain or symptoms, has been told treatments are no longer effective, needs more help with everyday tasks, or has expressed a desire to focus on comfort.
If this sounds familiar, we’re here to help. A conversation is always free and comes with no obligation.

For most families, hospice care costs nothing out of pocket.
Hospice services are:
100% covered by Medicare for eligible patients
Covered by Medicaid for eligible patients
Often covered by private insurance plans
Coverage typically includes:
Visits from the hospice care team
Medications related to the hospice diagnosis
Medical equipment and supplies delivered to your home
Emotional, spiritual, and family support for patients and families
Bereavement support for loved ones after a loss
Our team walks you through benefits and coverage before care begins, so there are no surprises.
Many families wait, holding onto hope or worrying that hospice means the end is near. That hesitation is completely understandable.
But time and again, we see that starting hospice earlier can lead to better comfort, fewer hospital visits, and more meaningful moments with loved ones. Families often feel more supported and less overwhelmed along the way.
Hospice isn’t about how much time is left; it’s about making each day as comfortable and connected as possible.

You can start when the focus is comfort and a physician certifies a life expectancy of six months or less. We encourage families to explore hospice as soon as symptoms affect quality of life so full support can begin.
You receive a team approach with nursing, physician oversight, home health aide support, social work, chaplaincy, medications, supplies, and medical equipment related to the hospice diagnosis. Care is tailored to your goals.
Care is provided wherever you live, including private residences, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities across the Denver metro.
Yes. We honor veterans with tailored support and coordination of benefits and resources.
No. Hospice is a Medicare-defined benefit and a voluntary service. You are not locked into a long-term contract. You may stop hospice at any time (called a revocation) if you want to pursue curative treatments or prefer a different approach. If your condition improves and you no longer meet eligibility criteria, you may be discharged from hospice; you can re-enroll later if you again qualify. You can also transfer to another hospice agency if you prefer a different provider. Our team will coordinate any change so there are no gaps in support.
One of the first questions families ask is, “Where does hospice happen?”
The answer is simple: wherever your loved one calls home. That could be a private residence, an assisted living community, a nursing facility, or a group home.
Your loved one remains in a familiar, comfortable environment, surrounded by the people and moments that matter, while our team provides expert medical care and emotional support.

When a loved one is seriously ill, our hospice team is here to manage pain, provide emotional support, and ensure comfort and dignity.
We’re available 24/7. Call (720) 764-9404 for a free, no-obligation conversation.
